Franklin Roy Bruno

Bruno is a professional boxer in 1980, racking quickly drag force year two consecutive victories by knockout. That line drew the attention of many magazines of international boxing, as the Ring Magazine, KO Magazine, Boxing Illustrated, The Ring and Espanol and many others. In March 1984, however, the future world champion heavyweight, the American James "Bonecrusher" Smith, a stop boxing Journeyman put that sequence in which Bruno has won by knockout in the tenth and final round of the bolt, with Bruno leading the three judges cards. It would not be the last time that Bruno has lost a match, it was a clear victory and would come from the victory, he survived until the final bell.

Bruno is back in the title, the debate on the victory like the former WBA champion Gerrie Coetzee (by knockout in the first round), and in July 1986, he challenged Tim Witherspoon for the heavy world championship WBA . Once again the leader for most cards in the fight, he went out of steam and was defeated by knockout in round eleven. A common comment is that Bruno, a fine physical specimen, a bodybuilder muscle instead of a boxer, and implementation of the additional weight of many muscles sapped his energy and stamina during a long race. The contrast between appearance and Bruno lard responsible Poon Witherspoon was particularly strong, but the difference is that Witherspoon Poon when he worked, and have enough in the context of the fight, while Bruno we lacked the killer instinct and stressed when he took the initiative.

In 1989, Bruno against Mike Tyson for the unified world Heavyweight title. After being shaken in the first minute, Bruno has completed the first round by Tyson rocker with a left hook. However, Tyson beat Bruno and when the referee stopped the contest in five rounds with the British boxer to severe penalties on the rope.

Bruno kept winning fights, helping him in his place as one of the world's leading Heavyweights. In 1993, he was facing third world title to Lennox Lewis youth, who form the second defense of the belt (the first of the three kingdoms championship). Lewis beat Bruno in a cycle arrest of seven years, Bruno not to take any chance after the title, most of the contest on points in what proved to be the last round.

On 24 September, 1994, Oliver McCall beat Lewis with a shock second round knockout victory at Wembley Arena, and after outpointing Larry Holmes, he came to England to defend WBC title against Bruno. On 2 September 1995, Bruno finally won the world championship by outpointing McCall over twelve rounds. McCall is an emotional mess, and called on the way to the ring. Bruno did not last long as champion: his first defense was a contrast to Tyson. Tyson beat Bruno in a cycle arrest in three [2], which proved to be the last battle of Bruno as a professional.

Bruno's advertising for most of his career was the sports historian Norman Giller, who has written three books with Frank: what I mean IEye tiger and its manager hero to zero for all, but his last five fights was Terry Lawless, who signed him as a professional shortly after he became heavyweight champion of the ABA at the age of eighteen
